Arrangements for safeguarding children, including child protection
Child protection and the safeguarding of all pupils at Kilchuimen are our top priorities. All staff at Kilchuimen 3-18 have a duty of care towards children and are highly trained and confident in addressing concerns. We have robust, up-to-date policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of all children. All staff participate in regular professional development, covering a wide range of safeguarding issues, from extremism to sexual exploitation. We carefully plan our safeguarding approaches and regularly review and improve our practices.
Arrangements to ensure wellbeing
Positive relationships between pupils and staff at Kilchuimen are central to our approach. We foster strong relationships that encourage pupils to share their concerns and worries with appropriate staff members. Pupils feel supported and valued within our school, and we have clear and effective systems in place for addressing any concerns or complaints. Our school's ethos and vision strongly promote equality and challenge all forms of discrimination.
