Hey everyone!!
I hope you're just as excited as I am to be in-person this year. I've missed you all a ton - and if you're new to my class, then Welcome!
On this site, you can see all of the virtual activities we did when our school went virtual in March. There's also links to videos, educational gaming websites, and other fun activities.
See you guys soon!
Here you go!
-A video explaining how to use the website and the example I made in this video! Have fun with this. If you want to share your pokemon card, make sure you send it to me before noon on Friday.
Good morning everyone and happy Cinco de Mayo!
Lessons for ELA and Math have been posted under their respective tabs. There's also a new resource under our SEL tab if you'd like to check that out!
It's also Mr. Michelsen's birthday!! Happy birthday to him!
Make today great, everyone!
Hey everyone!
Welcome back from vacation. A thank you to everyone who joined us for our class meeting at 10 - if you missed it, no worries, we have another on on Wednesday at 10.
There's a new cooking video staring my cat Yzma on the Life Skills page. Be on the look out for new lessons being posted tomorrow at 8!
Our NEW CHALLENGE this week is to draw a picture and send us the drawing! It can be anything you want but make sure it's school appropriate.
Happy vacation! There's a video under "Life Skills" of Ms. Hasch making cookies and two new chapters uploaded from The Book Thief. I've also added some more materials under the "SEL" tab, which used to be "Mindfulness".
As usual, email me with any questions! I miss you guys, have a great vacation.
Lessons for ELA and Math have been posted!
Last week's pictogram was Small Talk! Here's todays:
Hint: It's a movie title from the 80's!
I hope everyone's weekend went well! Thank you to everyone that joined our second class meeting today. I'm very excited to see you all again on Wednesday.
I've posted a few more chapters of The Book Thief on that page on this website - feel free to check it out.
The Challenge for this week is to send a picture of your pet! If you don't have a pet, send me a picture of something that has made you happy over this quarantine.
A quick reminder that next week is April vacation and I won't be posting any new assignments. Happy Monday!
Good evening everyone!
I hope you found our first week of online classes helpful. Here's a schedule for you to utilitze for next week.
A quick reminder that all work DOES NOT have a deadline but it's highly suggested. All work you complete is working towards your own improvement and goals. Do things at your own pace and do the work in chunks.
Have a great weekend! If you haven't send me your "Show me something you made" challenge, try to do that by our class on Monday.
Hey everyone!! Thanks for making our first live class AWESOME! It was great to see everyone's faces and to hear how everyone is doing.
In case you missed it, don't worry, we're now going to do these live classes every Monday and Wednesday at 10:00.
When you join the meeting, come muted. It's hard to hear everyone when everyone is talking! You also need to give the website permission to use your microphone and camera to be able to show yourself and for others to hear you.
Technical difficulties are bound to happen! Send me a message and we can work through it together. Also, grid view is available when using google chrome. There is an extension to download it to safari and it makes it so you can see more than 5 people at a time in our class meeting. There will be an email sent with this attachment.
Also, look for a new tab on our website called "The Book Thief". I'm going to be posting recordings of myself reading chapters out of our class book. We'll start with a quick summary of where we are so far so no one is lost!
We miss you guys! Stay safe and healthy.
Good morning everyone! Lessons and at-home practice have been posted on our Math and ELA pages.
If you have any questions at all, Miss Murphy's office hours are from 12pm-2pm and Ms. Hasch's are from 10am-12pm!
Today's pictogram! If you're not sure what a pictogram is, watch my explanation in the "Fun Stuff" tab. If you know the answer, or want to guess, send me an email!
Sorry this was late, I had some technical difficulties.
A video explainin our learning plan and the use of this website!
Hey guys! I miss you all and I hope you're doing well. We'll see each other soon. In the meantime, I've put some review and practice work on this webpage. This is not required or graded!
On the top above "Welcome", you can see the different subjects like "Math" and "Reading". You'll find games and links you can use to practice skills we've worked on in class.
At the top of each page there are buttons that go to webpages that are either online games, videos, or academic sites. Each page has been checked by Miss Murphy.
Email either of us if you have any questions.
I will be updating this page as time goes on with more resources. If you want to see more of something (like if you really LOVE crosswords and you've finished all of them on the page!) email me and I'll add more.
