This Privacy Policy describes how the e-SUCHI mobile application ("App") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. The App is developed and maintained by Khushi Baby, acting as a Technical Support Partner to support the digitalization of public health programs implemented by the Public Health Department, Government of Maharashtra, under the National Health Mission. By using the e-SUCHI App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
This policy is to be read along with, and not in contradiction to, any applicable act, law, or any instrument having the effect of any law together with the Blueprint, policies relating to information security, guidelines relating to data retention and archival, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Health Data Management Policy, Privacy Policy or any other policies or guidelines, which may be notified by the Central and State Government from time to time for the implementation of e-Governance initiatives, including and not limited to ABDM.
The App operates as part of a government-supported digital health initiative and adheres to applicable Indian laws and regulations regarding data privacy and protection, including but not limited to:
Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 43A & 72A)
Aadhaar Act, 2016 (wherever applicable)
Health Data Management Policy of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, National Health Authority, Government of India
Principles from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and
Maharashtra State Data Policy 2024 (MSDP-2024) and
the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
a. Personal Information:
With informed consent, the App may collect name, age, gender, contact details, household and family information, government-issued identifiers, and photographs of the users and the persons who shall be enumerated in the application.
b. Health Information:
This shall include, but not limited to, screening data, treatment history, data related to chronic health conditions, and any other details which may fall under the purview of the health programmes/schemes implemented by the GoM from time-to-time.
c. Usage and Device Data:
The App collects login history, screen activity, and diagnostics to ensure app stability.
Your data is collected to support healthcare delivery, monitor public health programs, generate insights, conduct research as approved after necessary due diligence, and improve services. It will not be used for marketing or commercial purposes.
The collected data will be shared in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the Maharashtra State Data Policy, Health Data Management Policy of ABDM, Privacy Policy of ABDM and any other relevant act, law, policies or guidelines, which may be notified by the Central and State Government from time to time for the implementation of e-Governance initiatives, including and not limited to ABDM.
a. Where Data is Stored:
Data is stored at the Maharashtra State Data Center (MAHA IT), Government of Maharashtra.
b. Data Security Measures:
Regular security audit of the application would be conducted by Cert-IN empanelled agencies as per the GoM guidelines. Includes AES-256/RSA-256 encryption at rest and transit, secure vaults for Aadhaar, auto-logout, and regular security scans by the Maharashtra State Data Centre. We implement strict security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. This includes encryption, secure storage practices, and restricted access to sensitive information.
c. Data Segregation:
Personal Identifiable Information is stored separately from health records.
Users have the right to know, access, correct, delete or withdraw consent regarding their data. Requests can be sent to the contact listed below.
Child-related data is collected only by health workers with guardian consent. The app is not intended for direct use by children.
Data is retained for the duration of the project or as required by government policies.
