Yoonjae Nam, Ph.D.

Dr. Yoonjae Nam is a professor in the Department of Culture & Entertainment at the College of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Kyung Hee University. He also serves as Director of the Digital Contents IP & Assets Research Center. His research focuses on communication, media, social networks, tourism, entertainment, semiotics, cultural diffusion, and corporate communication, with more than 100 publications in leading international journals (SSCI, A&HCI, SCOPUS, KCI).

Professor Nam has conducted influential studies on smart tourism, VR/AR and metaverse experiences, OTT platforms, K-pop, and global CSR networks, and has led major research projects supported by national and international organizations. He is the co-author of several books, including Entertainment Contents-Based Public Diplomacy and Understanding YouTube. He earned his Ph.D. in Communication from the State University of New York at Buffalo, after completing graduate and undergraduate studies in mass communication at Yonsei University and Rutgers University.
