Brief Bio: I was born and raised in Burma, a developing country in Southeast Asia. I work as an assistant professor at the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University, Denmark. I received a B.E. in Marine Electrical Systems and Electronic Engineering from Myanmar Maritime University, Thanlyin, Myanmar, in February 2014 and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, in February 2021. I received the best Ph.D. thesis award in engineering for 2020. Then, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Kyung Hee University in South Korea and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden under the supervision of Prof. Choong Seon Hong and Prof. György Dán.
My research interests include cutting-edge wireless technologies such as network economics, wireless network virtualization, wireless network slicing, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and satellite-assisted wireless networks, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS)- and simultaneous transmitting and reflecting RIS (STAR-RIS)-assisted wireless networks, semantic communication, mobile edge computing, for 5G and beyond. Currently, I am focusing on integrating existing terrestrial infrastructure with non-terrestrial infrastructure such as drones, balloons, airships, and satellites to form Terrestrial-Non-Terrestrial integrated networks (TNT-IN) to provide internet access to everyone on this planet (of course, everyone should have no matter where they are) which is one of the visions of upcoming 6G. Furthermore, TNT-IN can bring proper healthcare support and education systems to people in remote areas where there is a lack of existing terrestrial networks. However, there are still several research challenges to address. Thus, I employ methodologies including optimization, game theory, and machine learning algorithms to address the challenges. Together, we can build a better world.

Fun Fact:
I listen the song "Yellow" by Coldplay more than 20 times a day and I want the "time stone" from Dr. Strange.
