Performance - Christmas Carolling performance Thursday 5pm at the piazza.

This is a workshop that fuses music and pop art. Under the guidance of professional instructors, you can experience the fun of drumming and doodling in one stop, so that you can have your own carton drum and rhythm game cards to enjoy and keep.

When? Monday, during MYP arts lessons & lunch P4 (1 hour)

KGV Alumni and professional musician Chris Carpio and his Jazz band will lead workshops with Year 12 IB Students and the KGV Jazz Band, ending with a Jazz performance for all to watch.

Pop by the Hall after school on Tuesday and get a sneak-peek of the KGV Orchestra and the Junior, Senior and Chamber Choirs putting their big song numbers together ready for Thursday evening's Christmas Concert at 6pm..

Mbaqanga Music originated in the 1960s - Primarily influenced by traditional rural Zulu music and incorporating African American jazz instruments. KGV Music Academy students will be invited to join this workshop during lessons 3 and 4, on Wednesday, and will then put on a special performance at lunchtime in Hall for all to watch.

For the HL component of IB Music, students are required to propose, run and reflect on a musical project of their own creation. Our current Y12s are working hard at developing ideas, concepts and plans for their projects - some have even prepared music to be performed! Come along and see what they have been up to.

Students considering IB may find this especially interesting!

WORKSHOP: Come discover the different types of harps and learn the fundamentals of harp playing. You will also be given an opportunity to play a few tunes in the workshop!

PERFORMANCE: Enjoy A harp recital performed by a professional harpist. Repertoire will include A Jazz Arrangement, traditional Chinese piece, and Classical pieces.
