Mrs. Carolyn DeLoach

6th Grade Counselor

Carolyn DeLoach has been in education for 20 years. She has been a school counselor in King George Schools for ten years. This is her first year at KGMS, and she LOVES being with middle schoolers and working with the counseling staff.  Mrs. DeLoach graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from VCU.  Mrs. DeLoach has three children in KGCS, with her son in seventh grade. She understands the challenges that come with having a middle schooler! :) In her free time, she likes to garden, spend time with her family, and walk her yellow lab, Honey.  Mrs. DeLoach is committed to the students at KGMS to help support them to have the best school experience! 


Mr. William (Bart) Nave

7th Grade Counselor and Counseling Director

Mr. Nave is originally from Alabama and a proud alumnus of Auburn University where he received a bachelors degree in Education and as well as Master’s degree in School Counseling. Mr. Nave has been a Psychology teacher, school counselor and coach for multiple sports during his career. Since moving to Virginia in 2007, he has been a high school and middle school counselor and received an endorsement in School Leadership from the University of Mary Washington. In his free time, he can be found spending time with family either attending sporting events with his two sons or going on walks with his wife and chocolate lab Grace. The thing he likes the most about King George Middle School is the family atmosphere and the awesome students. Go Foxes!!

Mrs. Kimberly Coverson

8th Grade Counselor

Kimberly Coverson has been a school counselor since 2013. She started out as a school counselor for Spotsylvania High School and is currently at King George Middle School. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Memphis and her Masters Degree from Capella University. She is married and has 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren. But most of her time is given to her dog, Bella. She is a member of the Order of Eastern Star (Fredericksburg, #29) and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter). She enjoys shopping, traveling, riding her motorcycle and spending time with family. Mrs. Coverson has always had a passion for helping children in all aspects of life. She has 2 slogans: 

1) "Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." 

2) "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel....your attitude determines your progress."     

Mrs. Elizabeth (Betsy) Dzula

Mrs. Dzula is the school social worker

Mrs. Megan Sullivan

Registrar // Counseling Secretary

Mrs. Sullivan has been working for King George Middle School for three years now. Before that she was living in Colorado and was the director of a daycare program. Mrs. Sullivan went to college at the University of Wyoming where she earned a degree in Fine Arts. She will frequently help out with the plays and musicals at King George High School in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her family and loves playing board games.
