Space Camp Scholarship

Background: The King George Education Foundation (KGEF) offers two scholarships that cover the cost of tuition for Space Camp at the US Space & Rocket Center and round trip commercial air transportation from Richmond, Virginia to Huntsville, Alabama as well as ground transportation between the Huntsville Airport & Space Camp. (See https://www.spacecamp.com for more info.) Transportation to and from Richmond Airport, souvenirs, photo packages, or clothing packages will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. This program is intended to augment the public education system of King George, which means that home-schooled students are not eligible.

The two Space Camp scholarships offered by KGEF are: the Broadwood Scholarship, which is designated for girls only, and the Harrison Scholarship which is open to all genders. Both of these scholarships are funded by designated donations from private donors, which have defined the respective applicant pools for each. That is why one is restricted to girls only and the other is open to all genders.
