Pelican Babies
We are the teen parent program for the KFCS. We support the journey of our young families through their pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood. We offer services to any student in the city schools up to 21 years of age working toward a high school diploma or GED. We offer education support, including tutors, case management, transportation, parenting classes, social and peer interactions and support to our teen parents, both mom and dad. We work with community partners and offer referrals to community resources. We also offer quality childcare. Our licensed child care facility is centrally located in our district office. Our teachers and staff all have education in early childhood. Our education center is open all city school days and school hours to better serve our parents. All of our services are free of charge to teen parents.
