Welcome to Mrs. Healy's Classroom!
This year will be my 21st year in teaching. It is going to be a challenging year but we will get through it together! This year I will be teaching 6th and 7th grade reading and writing. Previously, I have taught balanced reading and math, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade reading/writing, 7th grade math and 5th grade ELA and math at Keystone. I have earned a BS in elementary education from The Ohio State University, a M Ed. in literacy from Ashland University, and a M Ed. in educational leadership from Ashland University.
I love to read, I love our complex English language, and I love to learn something new everyday. My hope is that I can help students find ways to become life long learners. I enjoy cooking, gardening, traveling, and camping trips with my husband of 29 years. We have enjoyed seeing our 2 children grow and become independent, productive adults. We currently have 2 "grand-dogs" Bubba and Dexter.
