Keys to Communication, LLC can guide you in providing new and useful ways to give functional communication systems and strategies to children, teens, and young adults who are unable to consistently use verbal communication communicate independently . We can also provide support for those involved in the care and social lives of the child to learn how to successfully facilitate meaningful communicative interactions. OUR MISSION
Children should be seen AND heard. All children no matter how complex their communication needs have the right to a voice of their own. From no-technology/low-technology to high-technology speech generating devices (SGDs), we strive to create and provide efficient communication systems that can be used in a variety of settings for meaningful and purposeful communication while meeting each individual's personal needs.
WHAT WE OFFER
Comprehensive AAC evaluations for communication systems and strategies from low-tech/light tech to high-tech speech generating devices (SGDs).
Direct therapy and consultation to families with children and/or young adults with complex communication needs via telepractice or face to face meetings.
Assistance programming speech generating devices (SGDs) and developing low/light tech communication systems.
Consultation for speech language pathologists to assist with specific clients.
Training for communication partners of children with complex communication needs in the following settings: home, schools, group homes, community.
Presentations/training about AAC systems and strategies for care providers, educators, therapists.
