My last (and favorite!) Field Period was at my alma mater, Portville Central School, as a school psychologist intern. This was also my psychology Field Period. I was able to observe all different ages from pre-kindergarten up to sixth grade, but spent most of my time in a third grade classroom. The teacher happened to be my mother! I also met with the school's psychologist weekly to talk about what I was seeing in the classroom and make connections from what I learned in my classes to what I was observing every day at the school. I decided I did not want to work as a school psychologist, but instead applied developmental psychology. Due in part to my experiential learning I have been accepted to three different graduate programs and plan to continue my education at the University of Pittsburgh in the Applied Developmental Psychology Graduate Program.
