Simon has spent 17+ years as a global CIO, chief digital officer and data & analytics leader. Before his industry tenure, Simon has 9+ years of international advisory experience with Arthur Andersen and McKinsey & Co Inc
Most recently he has worked as a senior executive of RioTinto, leading the end to end IT function, the global digitization agenda, including data & analytics & Cyber and co-led RioTinto’s Industry 4.0 productivity agenda. Before RioTinto, Simon was a senior executive and global CIO for ArcelorMittal & Airbus Group
He has deep expertise and an outstanding track record of leading global organizations through breakthrough IT performance transformations, increasing IT organizational effectiveness and creating high performance partnerships with tech leaders
Simon has an MEng (Electrical & Electronic Engineering, 1st class Imperial College) and an MBA (SDA Bocconi, Directors Prize), and is an Associate of the City & Guilds Institute
