Consequences for not following the rules / expectations
1. First warning – Verbal / Written in Conduct Log (Aviso Verbal)
2. Second warning – Write Discipline paragraphs with required parent and coach signature (Escribir Párrafo Disciplinario)
3. *If disruption continues student is sent out of class and receive after school detention; parent / guardian will be contacted by teacher. (sacado del salón - detención después de clase – padres contactados)
4. **Severe disruption clause: student is sent immediately to the dean of students with referral. No warning will be given. (mandado a la oficina para hablar con el sub-director de la escuela con documento de referencia)
If misconduct continues, I will request a parent/student/principal meeting to discuss the issue(s).
Rewards for following all rules in the classroom and West High Handbook
•You won’t be “THAT GUY” or “THAT GIRL” (no serás el malo/a)
•I will reward the entire class with special activities (ganarás actividades especiales)
•I’m good at sending notes home - remember, you want to go out during the weekend, so a nice note home or phone call will help. (Mandaré nota de buena conducta a casa - vas a querer salir con tus amigos/as).
•Extra incentives (incentivos extras)
Come on – You’re in High School, not Elementary or Junior High… P.R.I.D.E. (Estás en la preparatoria, no en la primaria o secundaria).
