Day 1-2. "Pepsi Challenge"
Students will design, print and fabricate a pneumatic/water soda bottle rocket using 3d printed parts. Teams will be comprised of Coke V. Pepsi will launch on Friday of week 2. Rockets will be judged on creativity, concept influence and FLIGHT.

Day 3-4. "Little Grand Prix"
Students will design,fabricate a Micro grand prix/formula 1 inspired race car using 3d printed parts. Teams will be comprised of Ford V. Chevy will race on Thurday of week 2. Cars will be judged on creativity, concept influence and TIME.

Week Two:
Day 1-2 Introduction to Laser Cutting & Safety
Skill Level: Beginner
Objective: Understand how to safely operate the VLS laser and the fundamentals of rastering vs. vector cutting.
Introduction to related industries.
Key Concepts: Material thickness, fire safety hazards, exhaust systems, and UCP (Universal Control Panel) workspace orientation.
Project: Engrave and cut out a personalized luggage tag or plant marker using acrylic or draft-grade wood. [1, 2, 3]
Day 3-4,5 Intermediate Vector & Raster Artwork
Skill Level: Intermediate
Objective: Learn to translate complex designs into engraved art and manage varied laser settings (speed, power, PPI) for different wood types or metals.
Key Concepts: Seating the cutting table properly, utilizing different color layers for cut vs. etch, and focusing the Z-axis manually.
Project: Engrave a detailed grayscale image on a wooden coaster or a piece of tile. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Utilizing the Rotary Fixture (Time Permitting)
Skill Level: Advanced
Objective: Master 3D cylindrical engraving on curved objects.
Key Concepts: Installing the rotary fixture, aligning the Y-axis, calibrating diameter measurements in the VLS settings, and surface focusing.
Project: Engrave a custom logo or monogram onto a cylindrical water bottle or glass. [1, 2]

Bring ideas to life by combining imagination, Maya tools and techniques to develop 3D models and animation. Skills development in character modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, using industry standard software “Maya”.
