"The Woman's Club of Bakersfield offers a one-time scholarship of $1,000 to a current high school senior who attends any of the following Kern High School locations: Bakersfield, Centennial, East Bakersfield, Foothill, Frontier, Golden Valley, Highland, Independence, Liberty, Mira Monte, North, Ridgeview, South, Stockdale, West, and Del Oro."

Edison International will award $50,000 college scholarships to eligible 30 high school seniors who plan to pursue STEM fields and meet the following criteria:
has an average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.
lives in Southern California Edison’s (SCE) service territory.
plans to attend a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. for the 2024/2025 academic year.
plans to enroll in an eligible major in computer and information services, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation, or physical sciences.
demonstrates financial need.
Deadline to apply is January 23, 2024.
