Knox Rocks! is a one-day workshop, rehearsal and performance event for middle schoolers. With the help of passionate, musically trained college students, we hope to encourage free and accessible music learning that will inspire future musical participation and foster lasting community connections through music.
Knox Rocks! is a one-day workshop, rehearsal and performance event for middle schoolers. With the help of passionate, musically trained college students, we hope to encourage free and accessible music learning that will inspire future musical participation and foster lasting community connections through music.
Students will get to play in a group led by musically trained college students, explore creating music beyond the classroom's repertoire, and perform in the renown Rosse Hall with friends.

Note: All participants are welcome to invite family and friends to attend the concert at the end of the day and the whole event as well as the concert will be free.

The goal of this event is to encourage musical participation and provide a fun experience to Knox County middle schoolers.

There will be 6 different groups that students can choose from and in each group they will get to practice, rehearse, and perform the music genre they love with peers.
