Of course! Our classes are open to everyone, whether you have never danced before or you've been dancing for as long as you can remember. We strive to create a safe, fun environment for everyone. If you have suggestions for ways we can improve this, check out our feedback form!
Everyone is welcome to take any level class! If you aren't sure how you feel about one, you are always welcome to observe a class or just do the parts you feel comfortable with. The beginning ballet class will start out from the very beginning with the basics, while in the intermediate/advanced we will try to offer ways to make combinations more or less challenging as you choose.
Nope! Classes are drop-in so feel free to show up to any class, but there is no commitment to coming. We know schedules can be very busy :)
Nope! Whatever you feel most comfortable in is perfect!
Let us know if you would like help finding dance attire.
Please let us know by emailing kballet-stuorg@kenyon.edu and we will help coordinate time(s) and level(s) for you to teach! If you are interested in teaching but a little nervous, we also encourage team-teaching!
At the start of the Spring 2024 semester it will be classical and perhaps some contemporary ballet. We are open to include other art forms for guest classes in the future!
In this class, you will get to learn solos from famous ballets! You do not need prior dance experience to come to this class. We will be working on a different variation every few weeks, so you can join this class at any time throughout the semester and there is no need to worry about having missed anything. You also have the option to take this class en pointe (at the discretion of the instructor).
