In 2024, a partnership was struck between the Kenton Athletic Boosters and the Kenton City Schools Athletic Department to exclusively cover Kenton Athletics. The Broadcast Team consists of long-time Wildcats and veterans sportscasters with almost a half-century of sportscasting and sports journalism.

Jim Homan became a Wildcat when he started covering the Cats while working as a sports reporter at the Kenton Times. He left the Times and started broadcasting games with Wildcat Sportscasting Legend Gary Lowe on WKTN in Kenton. Homan joined the Wildcats LIVE team as the Lead Sportscaster in 2024 as the play-by-play voice of Wildcat Football and Color Commentator for Basketball, Volleyball, and Soccer. Off the air, Jim enjoys Steelers Football, Live Theater, and Taco Tuesdays.
Mike Styer is a KHS graduate and was eager to join the Wildcats LIVE team in 2024 as a Color Commentator for Football and play-by-play voice of Wildcat Soccer. Off the air, Styer operates Mike's Rehab Bikes, a bicycle repair charity. Additionally, Mike is an educator in Hardin County. Styer is married to his wife Theresa and has two children who bot have attended Kenton.
"Buckeye" Bob Simmons is our resident basketball expert. Bob retired as a teacher and coach, spending some of his career at Kenton. Since his retirement, he has been the play-by-play voice of the Basketball Wildcats. He's known for his signature phrase, "Eyes it, flies it, nothing but net!" Outside of Wildcat athletics, Bob is an avid Ohio State fan. Bob and his wife Jill live in Ada.
Kolt Buchenroth is a KHS graduate and serves as the District's Director of Communication. After spending time at WKTN, The Kenton News Network (KNN) -- Kenton High School's Student News Broadcast, Ohio Ag Net and the Tennessee Ag Net, Kolt jumped at the opportunity to serve as the producer for Wildcats LIVE. Kolt is responsible for the technical aspects of Wildcats LIVE including engineering and audio production. Occasionally, Kolt can be heard on the air covering a game or in a commercial.
Brett Purcell, CAA is a KHS graduate and is the Director of Athletics for Kenton City Schools. Brett oversees athletic events, coaches, and athletes. Without Brett, there would've never been a Wildcats LIVE. Brett is responsible for broadcast logistics and programming, supporting the broadcasts with information and statistics. He also coordinates the schedule for the Kenton's Ace Hardware Coaches Show hosted by Ralphies Sports Eatery. Brett and his wife Brooke life in Kenton with their two children.
