J. A. Caywood Elementary Car Rider Procedures and Policy:
Students who are picked up after school on a regular basis will be assigned a car rider number. A car number will be assigned to you once you complete the Car Rider Application form, which can be found in this tab or in the school office. Whether you pick up your child daily, a couple times a week or bi-weekly, all students are assigned a car number. Parents are instructed to use the parent loop (small loop in front of the library) when picking up their child. Parents must remain in their car at all times, due to cars constantly moving forward to pick up their children. We have a high number of students regularly picked up after school (approximately 100), therefore we dismiss students in this manner to keep all students safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office at 341-7062 and thank you in advance for your cooperation
Please Remember:
1. Do not park in the parent loop or leave your car in the Parent Loop at any time.
2. Please watch for children walking between cars.
3. Do not pick-up or drop-off students in the Bus Loop (big loop located in front of main entrance).
4. Be prepared to move forward to keep the line moving.
5. Have your number visible (hanging from rear view mirror).
6. In the morning, if you are dropping off your child, please keep the loop moving by pulling all the way to the end of the Parent Loop. Please--No Parking!
