Welcome to Mrs. Hicks' Website!

My name is Joanne Hicks. I am really excited to be working with your children this year. I am planning and looking forward to doing lots of fun and exciting activities to encourage learning.

I live in Pendleton County with my husband Ian and our two children Andrew and Kimberly. I graduated with a bachelors degree from Northern Kentucky University in December 2008 and recieved my masters degree as a Reading and Writing Specialist from University of the Cumberlands in 2013. This is my twelfth year teaching at Piner Elementary, I have experience in third grade, fourth grade, Title 1 math and reading and this will be my eighth year in fifth grade. I am really pleased to be employed by the Kenton County School District. I feel this district and our school put your child's education first and I am proud to be a part of the Piner family.
