1.How it happened
During the midevil times centuries and centuries ago in a small town in Europe, there was a little girl named Elizabeth. Elizabeth lived with her poor peasant family in a simple small, old house on a hill, right next to a forest. One day Elizabeth’s dad came home crying, with no food for them to eat. Elizabeth felt bad for her family and didn’t want them to starve to death. After a while of thinking and processing she decided she would go out and find food for them. She went to her room which she shared with her little sister Mary. She put on her shoes and jacket then went to the kitchen to find a tool to use to get this food. She found a basket to collect fruit and a knife, which they usually used to cut their food. She put the knife in her basket and went back to her room and listened for when her family finally left the front door. As soon as they went to a different room Elizabeth whispered to herself.“You can do this.”And she snuck out without anyone seeing her.
As she was going down to the forest her breath was heavy, and her palms were sweaty. She tried to ignore this and kept thinking ‘you’ve got this, you have.’ She got to the forest and started looking around for any site of food that her family could eat. After finding nothing the voice in her head spoke. ‘You have got to go farther into the forest.’ And she listened, not knowing that later on she will regret this choice for the rest of her life. She went farther into the forest and everything seemed fine. She even found a clearing with an apple tree. The grass was bright green and you could smell the sweet apples from the tree. Birds were chirping and the sun was pounding on her back, the only shade was right next to the apple tree. It was the beginning of summer.
“You did it! You found food for your family! They won’t starve!” she told herself excitedly
“I told you you can do it! You believed in yourself and, look, you did it!”she said, beaming with joy. She collected the apples in her basket and was ready to go back home.“Which way is home?” she asked herself nervously.
“Oh no. This is all your fault Elizabeth! Why did you believe you could get food and go back without a single mishap! This is not a fantasy!”she screamed at herself. She sat down next to the apple tree and started crying. She knew there was no way she could go back, she had no idea how deep she was in the forest, and no idea where she came in from. So instead she just sat there, in the middle of the clearing, in the shade of the apple tree, crying.
2.Survival
Eight and a half years have past and she is still in that same forest, and hasn’t believed in herself since then. She doesn’t remember her old family or what her life used to be like. All she knows is she’s poor, starving and lives in the forest. She has no idea that years ago her family, back in that same old house, died of starvation. If she did know this she would probably feel even more guilty, even though it wasn’t her fault.
The forest is gloomy and dark. It’s the middle of fall and poor Elizabeth is starving. Her head is pounding like a drum. It’s night and she can’t fall asleep. The bare forest trees are scary at night, and the cool breeze blows leaves across the ground. Every now and then it blows leaves on to her and she has to move. Her stomach is a lion roaring with hunger. Her head is spinning like a tornado. She couldn’t take it anymore. She got up and decided to go find food. Every step she takes comes with a loud crunch under her feet. The only part of the grass she can see is brown and dead. The wind sends chills down her spine as she looks around at the moss covered trees that she left a mark on with her knife so she can find her way back to the apple tree.
As she approaches the clearing it is empty again, besides for some leaves the chilling wind blew into it. The grass is patchy with spots of brown and yellow-ish green. No trees were in this part of the forest, besides the apple tree, so you can see the cloudy grey sky. When Elizabeth saw the apple tree she ran toward it. She grabbed the nearest apple on the ground and took a bite.
“Woah. This is the best apple I've ever had!” she told herself.
“It tastes amazing!”she exclaimed. It tastes as sweet as pie, and is just as crunchy as the leaves she stepped on to get here, but has just the right amount of juice. And she enjoyed her apple which was all she had for a while, besides the one time she found a strawberry bush further in the woods.
3.The Escaping
Fall soon turned to winter which is Elizabeth's least favorite time of the year because of how cold it is and she has nowhere to warm up. The snow is like a beautiful blanket that stretches across the forest. The once naked trees are covered with snow.
“Winters beautiful but it's bitterly cold.” she told herself as she looked around. Elizabeth is ready to find shelter again just like she did in the past years in this terrible forest. Freezing, she starts walking around the forest away from the clearing, at which she had been staying, to go find somewhere to stay a little bit warmer away from the snow. All at the same time marking the snow covered trees with her knife again so she can find her way back to the clearing in the spring. She is sad to leave the clearing because she knows she won’t have food. As she was marking a tree she saw a cave out of the corner of her eye.
“Yes I found somewhere to go!” she whispered. She went up to the cave and went inside shivering. When she went inside she saw a big brown boar, which snorted and kicked the ground as it prepared to charge. Elizabeth's first reaction was to run. She ran as fast as she could in the opposite direction of the cave. She ran through the clearing and farther through the other side of the forest. The boar was still chasing her from a distance. Elizabeth’s breath was leaving her as she was running. Her heart was pounding in her chest. Her head had a million thoughts running through it. When she was running she saw a light and there began to be less and less trees. Elizabeth's heart jumped, and she had a little flicker of hope.
She was out of the forest and was right behind a castle. She lost the boar. She was ok.
“Where…Am…I,” she panted. Her head was spinning again.
“I don’t feel good,” she thought. And she passed out, right there, behind the castle.
4.The Royal Adoption
She woke up in a room, a few days later. It was spring now and birds were chirping. It was a big room with a big bed with curtains hanging on it. Elizabeth hasn’t been in a bed for as long as she can remember. It was soft and warm, it reminded her of summer. The room was quite large and had a fluffy white carpet under the bed. And beautifully polished hardwood floors underneath. The walls were light baby pink with gold patterns. The sound of the fireplace crackling was very soothing. The smell of lavender perfume filled the air. Elizabeth was about to get up when she heard footsteps. The door opened and a man and a woman entered the room. They were both wearing shiny crowns, the man gold, the woman silver and diamond. The man was wearing a red gown made out of velvet, with a fur surcoat and a golden belt. The woman was wearing a beautiful purple dress with lace, and had beautiful diamond earrings and jewelry, with a golden bracelet.
“Who are you, and where am I? Have you taken me? Are you going to hurt me?” She questioned them, slightly panicking, because she hadn't seen people in a long time, and didn’t remember what they were like.
“No, no. It’s ok love. We found you outside by the forest. You were out cold. We couldn’t leave you there or you would freeze to death,”said the woman.
She turned to look at the man and said, “We are the king and queen, but you can call us mom and dad we are adopting you! This is your room and our castle.” she told her. “I will get you some new clothes, those ones are old and torn.” And she went to the closet and pulled out a beautiful pink silky dress, that kind of reminded Elizabeth of a spider web because of its shiny, silky look. Her new dad left the room and her new mom helped her change.
“What's your name love?”she asked her
“Elizabeth,”she answered shyly.
“That's a beautiful name.”she said as she zippered the dress. “That looks beautiful on you.” she said kindly. “You will get crowned tonight at a feast where you will meet your brother.” she said.
“Brother?” repeated Elizabeth.
“Yes, brother,” the queen said reassuringly. And with that, she left the room.
5.The Brother
Elizabeth stayed there processing what she had just said. ‘Brother’ she thought. How could she have a brother? How could anyone even want to adopt her in the first place? She is just a good for nothing peasant, who got lost in the woods and it’s all her fault. Yes it's all her fault, she can’t do anything right. Let alone be a princess. Then she realized that she, Elizabeth, the peasant who got lost in the woods, was now a princess. She laid there staring at the ceiling thinking to herself until someone opened the door.
“Elizabeth, it’s almost time. You need to wash your face, and hands,”said the king. “Follow me, I will show you to the lake,” he said. And so she got up and followed him. They went outside a back door and to a big lake. “Here. Use this,” he said as he handed her a bar of soap. And he showed her how to use it. The water was cold, and the soap smelled good. Almost like the sweet red apples that she loved in the forest. Once she was clean they went back up to the castle.
“Are you ready? We are going to go into the hall where the feast takes place.
“Yes,” she replied and they walked into the hall and to the big table where her mom and her brother were sitting, while hundreds of people stared at them. Her dad wished her luck and told her she is going to get crowned now after he announces it.
“Good day everyone, he said, and everyone went quiet. “Today we are gathered for the crowning of my new daughter Elizabeth, to officially become the new princess,” he said and the crowd applauded. He turned to her.
“Repeat after me, I Elizabeth,” he said
“I Elizabeth,” she said quietly and nervously.
“Will promise,” he said
“Will promise,” she said quickly and a little louder.
“To be a good princess, and to help my people when they are in need,” he said.
“To be a good princess, and help my people when they are in need,” she finished.
“Good, now, first you put on the gloves and then I'll put the tiara on your head,” he whispered to her. So she took the long silky white gloves and put them on her hands. Then he placed the beautiful diamond tiara on her head.
“Curtsy,”he whispered, and she did. Everyone applauded and cheered. Then her dad sat next to her mom and she sat next to her brother.
“You may eat,” he said as people came in the doors with plates with weird looking animals on them. And everyone began to feast and talk to the people beside them.
“Is it usually this crowded?” Elizabeth asked her brother.
“Oh yes, our family is the most important in all of Europe precisely,” he replied. “What's your name? Mine’s James,” he asked her.
“Elizabeth, but didn’t you hear that when he was announcing it?” she asked, confused.
“Oh yeah, I did hear it,” he said, remembering. “Can I call you Liz?” he asked
Elizabeth giggled. “Sure! I’ve never had a nickname before,” she told him. He smiled at her.
“Really?” he asked. And she told him about her life before this. About living in the woods. About the boar. About surviving off only apples. About not remembering her old family whatsoever. They had a whole conversation and began to become really good friends. Elizabeth really liked him. He was nice.
6.The Crowd
After James showed her around the castle and they had a long conversation about Elizabeth's past life, they became friends. He had to go down to his schooling, so Elizabeth went down to the lake. Elizabeth loved the lake last time and thought it would be a good place to think and calm down whenever James went to school or was busy.
When Elizabeth got down to the lake it was calm. The lake was cold, when she put her hand in. Birds chirped and sang. Then Elizabeth saw a crowd of people coming up to her. She tried to get away but they cornered her. Elizabeth’s heart started racing. Her breath was heavy. The people were asking her a million questions about what it’s like to be princess, why isn’t she dressed up, where she came from, and how she found the king and queen. Some were even shouting at her mad that she is the new princess and they aren’t.
“Why is she the princess! It should be someone better, and prettier than her!” Someone yelled really emphasizing the she and the her. Elizabeth didn’t know what to say. She didn’t like being crowded at all. She wanted to go back to the forest and be where nobody was to crowd her. She spent basically her whole life there, the part of her life that she can remember anyway. She wasn’t used to this crowding stuff. She felt a weird feeling in the back of her throat that she can’t remember every feeling. Then, slowly, tears started falling down her face. Slow turned to fast and she didn’t know what to do. The tears were coming down like rain. And no one even cared.
“Oh, look, she is weeping now,” said one of the people.
“I told you she wasn’t good enough,” said a different lady. Not good enough, she was right, I’m not good enough and never will be. I shouldn’t be a princess. I will probably mess it all up and lose them too. Elizabeth thought to herself. And she sat down on the grass in the middle of the crowd, curled up in a ball, crying. The crowd left, and she was alone. She got up and wiped her eyes.
“I’m not good enough,” she whispered to herself before going back up to the castle. She got to her room and just stayed there for a while, Until there was a knock on the door.
“Liz? Woah are you alright Liz. You don’t look too good.” said James as he walked in the door.
“I’m fine, don’t worry about me,” lied Elizabeth.
“You sure?” he said
“No.” she said as she started to cry again.
“What happened?” He asked sympathetically. She told him all about the crowd and them saying she isn’t good enough and how she believed them and how she knew that she was indeed not good enough.
“What are you saying? Don’t be silly. You’re amazing! Don’t listen to those peasants! They're just jealous,” he said to her. She gave a sad smile and said “Thanks, but you don’t have to lie just to make me feel better. I know I’m useless. I know I’m not good enough.” she replied. She noticed it was getting dark so she told James good night.
“Goodnight Liz, but seriously, I’m not lying.” he said. And he left the room.
7.The Necklace
One spring morning Elizabeth woke up about a month after the people crowded her. She still didn’t think she was good enough to be princess. Deep down in her heart was the guilt of her family she left behind. She just wanted to help them, and now there was even more pressure on her. From being the princess to starting her new schooling and learning about religion. Elizabeth did not like schooling. She hated all the letters and weird signs, and she hated that it took time from her own life to do it. Often when she’s alone in her room she just lies down and cries into her pillow. This morning she woke up to go to schooling, when James ran up to her in the hall.
“We don’t have schooling today!” he told her excitedly. “The teacher is sick, and the priest is praying with him,” he explained. “You ok Liz? You're not still upset about those people are you?” he asked. “Everyday you are so sad, and for what? Those people are just jealous. I've told you this a million times!” he said dramatically.
“I already told you James, those people were not just there for no reason.” she said “I believe it was a sign. A sign that is telling me I’m going to mess everything up just like I did before with my last family. I am nothing. I’m worth nothing, and I can’t do anything right. I am not good enough!” she said to him adding a lot of emphasis to the last “am not.”
“Oh Liz,” he said sadly. He sighed before saying, “Follow me.” and she followed him up to his bedroom where he pulled out a wooden box decorated with flowers and a drawing of a girl and a boy taped to the top of it. “It was my biological sister’s,” he said. “She wore it all the time before..” and he paused and took a deep breath. “Before she passed,” he said sadly.
“I’m… I’m so sorry,” Elizabeth said to him softly.
“It's alright. Not your fault.” he said. “I wish she was here, she would have loved you.” he said. “This is the only thing my parents let me keep of her. They were so sad they didn’t want to see any of it. They regretted getting rid of all her stuff after.” he explained. “You can wear it. You look a lot like her too, you have the same eyes. She was blonde though, like me.” he told her. “Open it.” he said, and Elizabeth opened the box. It was filled with soft white feathers. Laying in the feathers was a beautiful diamond necklace with a small sapphire charm in the middle. It had a silver clasp which James used to put it on her neck. “It looks amazing on you!” he said. “Maybe this will help you believe in yourself.” he said hopefully. Elizabeth's stomach dropped. That one word caused her whole life to flip upside down. That was the word that made her lose her parents. Elizabeth thought to herself about how happy her parents would be for her if they were here, and about James' sister whose necklace she was wearing. They thought she was good enough, James thought she was good enough, so did the king and queen, the priest, and the school teacher. Maybe she was good enough, maybe she was all along.
“Yeah, maybe.” she replied finally. “I’m proud to wear your sister’s necklace.” she said with a smile. This was the first time she believed in herself since she got lost. Also the first time she felt happy in a while.
“I told you you were good enough.” he said while hugging her. Elizabeth was the princess, and though some people might not agree, she was good enough. That night Elizabeth had a dream about James and his sister, the king and queen, and her old family, cheering for her as she became queen with the people who didn’t believe in her locked in the dungeon guarded by knights with silver armor.
She has no idea what happened to her family and often misses them, but stays strong still wearing James' biological sister's old necklace. Wondering if one day, this dream will become reality.
My story starts in the middle ages ” your going to marry this guy whether you like it or not”.
“ no dad i'm not marrying chad you are out of mind dad., i'm tired of you and mom try to control my life ugh I hate you!”.
“You can be mad all you want but your still grounded kazimir”
(I stormed off to my room, I started to pack my stuff in a tiny bag, throwing a rope down the side of the castle slowly climbing down it).after getting past the knights and walking for forever I found a dark gloomy stinky forest. There were bugs flying around my head, then I saw an old broken shack (kazimir opened the door with a creek) “it home,” said kazimir. When I was laying my bedding I heard scratched sounds on the door. I slowly approached the door with a stick. I opened it to find a baby little fox. The baby fox was cold and hungry. I went out to find food and something warmeth I found old chicken but still good to eat, and a tiny towel .”I'm going to name you Rosa.”
“It's been two days since I left the castle and they still haven't noticed that I'm gone. That shows how much they pay attention”(I go back to digging in the corner) while the puppy plays with a stick. Kazimir hears heavy armor from the knights, she grabs the baby fox and kicks open the back plank and slips out before the knight could open. the door “ phew I think we escaped them,(stares breaking down in tears) ”i'm so sorry baby fox. I'm a terrible mother. I can't provide a home for you or a name. I'm so terribly sorry baby fox. You know what, I'm going to get you a roof over your head and a bed and blankets and all of that stuff .” ( after walking again to find the knight she finally found them) “ hey you knight i'm going to make deal with”
“ Ok what's the deal then miss princess.”
“The deal is you can take me back BUT you have to let me keep the fox”
“ alright but I don't think . the king or queen will like this”
“ I don't care about what they like and what they don't like. And don't call them king and queen just call them terrible dad and terrible mom “
“Yes, your princess.”
( Has Kazimir thought to herself about how much trouble she was going to be in and what they were going to do with her when she saw a boy she liked.he like a bucket of rosa her mind went blank and she felt butterflies in her stomach)
“Where here” said the knight.
“What oh ok coming.”( I walked in the castle as the guards followed close behind and I met my father and mother in the dining hall.)
“Kazimir!” my mother screamed as she ran over with my dad.
What what is wrong?
What's wrong you ran away you had us scared to death.
Wait, really you were worried about me. ?
Yes, why wouldn't we be worried?
Because you hate me and are always trying to get me to do stuff that I don't want to do like marry Chad or wear a pink sparkly dress or not letting me go into battle with all the other knights.
That's because we love you and besides your princess you're not to go into battle with the knights and we want to marry chad bc we thought. if we helped out their family by having you marry him his dad would take their decision up and we combine kingdoms and rolle over the land.
“Oh well, never thought of that. I'm sorry mom and dad”.
“We are sorry too. We want to try to do anything that you don’t want to do, ever again.”
“No i'm sorry that ran away but umm i brought something home”
“It’s ok what did you bring home”.
“It's a pet, don't get mad but it’s a baby fox.!!”
“Ummmm im ok but you have to keep care of it. “
“Thank you mom and dad i'm going to take care of it all by myself and
“Just aaaah thank you.”
“Your welcome sweetie.”
After walking for days the weakened Sam stumbled into an inn and went to bed. In the morning on his way out of the inn some people were talking about a monster in the woods near a village.
While walking Sam noticed that the woods people were talking about were right next to his village so he decided to go into the forest and kill the monster while in the woods he noticed a small girl crying. Sam went closer towards the girl and then all of a sudden the girl started running towards Sam. Sam quickly noticed that a boar was chasing the girl. Sam stabbed the boar in the eye and then he stabbed it in the other eye. After the boar died from bleeding out the girl hugged Sam. Sam had asked the girl what her name was and how old she was. The girl said her name is Anne and she doesn’t know how old she is. Anne asked if Sam could play with her for a while and Sam said sure. The two were playing together until it started to rain. The small Anne asked if she could go home with the drenched Sam and again Sam said yes.
When the duo got home Sam told Anne that she could sleep on the soft bed while he slept on the wood chair. Both of them were arguing about who slept where.
The next day they were going on a trip to London to adopt Anne that would take 3 days. On the first day they encountered a cat, a bird, and a frog while walking. During the night Sam had a dream about his family and each time he reached out for them they disappeared. Sam then Had another dream but this time about Sir Michael the man that executed Sam's family in front of himWhen they woke up they noticed all of their food and money was gone. They looked around to find the thief and when they saw the short, slow man they started chasing him. When they caught him they decided to take him with them so they could turn him in to the guards. The final day of their journey they had made it to London the first stop was to the guards.
When they turned him in the guards asked where they found him and Sam said on the road here. Then they went to adopt Anne and while they were there a messenger sent by the judge that was in the thiefs case. Sam said he would go after the adoption was over and when the adoption was over he bought Anne a dagger to protect herself on her way back. After sending Anne on her way home he followed the messenger to the manor where the judge and Sir Michael where staying.
When they got to the manor the judge asked if Sam could help with the trial and Sam agreed to help the judge. The first question was if the thief stole their stuff and Sam said yes. The second question was why the thief said the girl stabbed him with Sam’s dagger and Sam said he didn’t know anything about that. After answering all of the judges' questions Sir Michael asked why he was with the girl.Sam couldn’t find an answer to the question and tried to walk away. Sir Michael asked a different question about his family and again Sam couldn’t find an answer to that question either. Sam pushed one of the guards out of the way, then another guard grabbed Sam and threw him back. Sir Michael asked one more question: he asked Sam why he let his family die and why he did not stop him from killing his family. Sam told him that when he killed family he was too weak to fight against him. Sir Michael told Sam that they are going to have a duel and whoever wins gets to live and whoever loses dies. Sam was told he had 5 days before the duel begins and if he didn’t show up both Anne and him are going to die.
On the first day Sam went to the blacksmith to buy a dagger instead of a sword. Then he went to the armorsmith to buy some light armor and then he went to a nice inn to sleep. The next day Sam went to go train in the forest and write Anne a letter. The third day he went on an adventure around the city looking at shops and buying stuff for Anne. As the duel came closer Sam wondered how Anne was doing because she would have made her way home by now and he hoped nothing bad happened to her on the way there. On the fifth and final day he went to the manor before the duel had begun and went to find Sir Michael.
As the duel began both Sam and Sir Michael went into the arena and the duel had begun. Both went into strike and both of their weapons whizzed past each other then Sir Michael went to deliver a blow that Sam had dodged. Sam then went in to strike him in the neck killing Sir Michael. By the time the duel had started it ended with Sam winning it.
While Sam was on his way home Sir Michaels daughter shot Sam below the lung . Then a group of people with Anne took him to the apothecary where his life was saved.Sam and Anne then decided to move to Spain.
Caroline Williams, the heir of the Williams Royals, lays on her bed with tears staining her cheeks. The tumultuous sound of crying fills the empty halls of the castle in which she resides. Her most loyal knight, Lancelot Oakridge, stood grimly near the entrance to her chambers listening to her weep. Lancelot, debating whether to ignore the pitiful Caroline or console her, gave in. Lancelot called out unsurely, “Princess Caroline, are you alright?” He received no response, yet he heard harder sobs.
Caroline tearfully murmured a slight response, “Yes, I’m quite alright.”
Lancelot stammered, “Are you sure? You sound quite distressed. Do you want to tell me what's wrong?”
Caroline, regaining her composure, stated,”No, I'm perfectly content.” She stuttered, “You should get back to your duties, don’t worry about me.”
Lancelot murmured, “Yes, Princess Caroline,” and as he walked away, the sound of weeping started again. Caroline had just received a letter from her father, King Arthur, that she’s soon to be married off to a Prince who is infamous for being cruel and abusive. Caroline whispers to herself “Do it for the village, they need it. My father wouldn't intentionally let me marry someone like that, right?”. Caroline couldn't hold her tears back, even after her attempts to console herself. She was restless, nothing could help, she could cry a river, perhaps an ocean. As the days passed and the wedding approached, Caroline grew even more restless. Caroline murmured to herself, “This can’t be happening, I feel like I'm going insane.”
Lancelot, wondering what’s causing Caroline such distress, curiously stated “Caroline, what’s making you so pitiful?”
Caroline, frustrated and upset, stammered, “I’m being married off.”
Lancelot, feeling pity for Caroline, confidently stated “Princess, you know, instead of worrying about the marriage, why don’t we go for a stroll?”
Caroline, wiping her tears away, stammered “Alright, I’ll go.” As she got up, she said, “Thank you for trying to help.”
Lancelot stated, “You’re very welcome, Princess Caroline.”
Caroline, after gathering herself, said “Just call me Caroline.”
During the walk, the sun beamed like fire and the blissful aroma of roses filled the air. The waves crashing nearby created a calming ambiance and was just what Caroline needed. Shortly after Caroline and Lancelot's stroll, Caroline realised that the wedding was tomorrow. After this realization hit, Caroline felt a massive pit in her stomach, and her eyes welled up with fresh tears. Lancelot gently took her into a brief embrace and reassured her that he will always be a faithful supporter.
At dawn the next day, Caroline awoke feeling nothing but dread. She released a long sigh and accepted that this is it, her life has been ruined. Just then, Lancelot knocked on Caroline’s chamber door. After it opened, Lancelot hesitantly walked over to Caroline and sat beside her. Lancelot broke the silence by stammering, “Caroline, I have something to tell you, now or never.” He stated, “I’ve admired you for a long while now, and you’re all I can think about. I truly believe that we are meant to be together, and I hope you feel the same.”
After a long pause, Caroline blurted out, “I’m glad you feel that way. I do as well, but I’m getting married.” She stated, “We can’t be together, I'm sorry”.
Lancelot took a deep breath, and hesitantly stated, “What if we run away?”
Caroline said, “What about my people or my family?” “The village needs this marriage for financial security. We must merge with the neighboring kingdom. I don’t know Lancelot, I just don’t know.”
Lancelot tentatively responded, “Caroline, please, they're using you for their own benefit.”
Caroline unsurely responded, “I guess you’re right. Alright. I'll go.” Caroline hesitantly gave in knowing she must follow her heart. Shortly after the conversation, Caroline and Lancelot made a plan to sneak out of the castle when none of the other knights were looking. Soon, they left Caroline's room and snuck around the barren halls until they found the exit to the castle Caroline once adored.
Once Caroline and Lancelot were outside, they started running for the woods, but someone spotted them. Soon, the thunderous sound of enraged voices echoed through the surroundings. As they were running through the woods, Caroline’s chest started to throb and her legs felt like she was running on lava, but they had to keep going. As they were gaining distance, Caroline tripped over a rock and tumbled to the dim, leaf covered ground. Soon, the menacing people approached at a rapid pace. Lancelot helped Caroline get up and they started running again, but they soon came across a tumultuous river. With nowhere to run and people approaching, Caroline and Lancelot jumped in, hopeful to meet again.
Fortunately, Caroline and Lancelot washed up together on the side of the river in the middle of the forest. Now stuck wondering where to go, they began to walk along the river towards smoke they saw in the distance. After many hours of walking, Caroline and Lancelot stumbled across a village. The village was quaint and homey. Much to the relief of Caroline and Lancelot, no one seemed to know nor care who they were. The delicious smell of fresh bread filled the crisp air. The joyful sound of chatter created a sense of calm that Caroline and Lancelot didn’t realize had been missing in their prior home. Now after stumbling upon this village, Caroline felt betrayed that her people would turn against her so quickly. Caroline realised that she made the right decision and she and Lancelot could begin anew.
There once was a king and queen named Colette and Aldo who lived in the kingdom of ‘Glendal’.They have 4 kids named Agatha, Isabel, Col, Blazh and they have a maid named Gisela. They don’t have a very happy relationship. They are always fighting, and angry at each other. They scream, and throw things at each other
One day, Colette was in their room, she saw a note that said “To Aldo, from: Gisela.”
Colette was thinking “Why did she write him a note.. That’s strange.”
Aldo then disappeared for 2 days, and so did Gisela. She was worried until they came back. She would pace back and forth for hours a day.
“Why were you gone for 2 days!!” said Colette.
“ We went to um..the..big village a mile down!” Aldo replied back.
‘‘He’s being weird and strange..’’ Thought Colette.
Then, Colette see’s something weird. She sees them..kissing! She’s in shock. Nothing is on her mind but anger. She walks up to them and says “What is going on!”
Aldo says “Nothing!”
Colette’s face starts to turn red, and is stuffed up. Her fist starts to clench, then her mouth opens, and she says “HOW COULD YOU DO THIS ALDO! TO ME AND THE KIDS!”
Aldo says “I’m not in love with you anymore Colette. I’m sorry. Please get out of my castle. Pack up all your stuff.”
Colette starts crying, and sobbing, she’s upset and sad. She can’t believe he could do this to her. As she is leaving, she tells Aldo and Gisela, “I hate you both more than the smell of onions!” Then she leaves.
She has to find her mothers house in this big village called “Sisterton”. She is walking through the forest and she takes the wrong turn and she gets lost. She is so upset! She is thinking about the whole thing. “Why’d he do that to me?” Colette thinks. “I’m going to miss my kids.” Then she sees a guy just staring at her. She gets scared, he starts coming towards her, she wants to run away from him until he comes closer and she realizes he’s handsome.
“Are you lost?” says the strange man.
“Yes, actually. Could you help me find ‘Sisterton Village?” Says Colette.
“Oh, I’m on my way there. Would you like to come with me, my lady?”
Colette starts blushing and her face turns as red as a tomato. “Yes, I would love that” says Colette while laughing.
They go through the forest then, a few hours later they make it to the village. Then Anre asked Colette, “Would you like to have dinner with me?”
Colette says “Yes that would be fun!” They go to the bakery, and talk about their old life. Colette doesn’t tell him she has 4 kids.
She just tells him, her ex-husband is the king of ‘Glendale’. Then, they go home and kiss goodnight.
Colette wakes up and goes to Anre’s job. Then well she’s there she sees someone she knows in the corner of her eye. It’s Aldo and her kids! She starts freaking out. Aldo starts walking towards them,
Anre says. “Who are these..people?”.
“They're my… husband and kids.” Colette says uncomfortably.
Aldo says “Who is this young lad? I’ve never seen him before.”
“I’m Arne. I work at the mill. I’m the miller in this village.”
Aldo starts laughing. “You went from a king, a ruler? to a miller?” He says while laughing.
“Yes, I did. He has a better personality than you ever will.” Says Colette while tears roll down her face
. “I don’t want to marry you, Colette.” Says Arne, while looking confused.
“What?! But..but you kissed me last night.” Colette says as she starts sobbing.
“See? She’s crazy.”Says Aldo while dying laughing.
“She is crazy. That’s why I don’t love her.” Says Anre. They both start laughing so hard.
Colette runs away, her children follow behind her.
“Mother, where are you going?” Says Isabel with tears in her eyes.
“I’m never going to find love.” Colette says while sobbing. A few hours later Colette is sleeping, she hears someone open her door.
It's Aldo. “Hello sweetheart.” Aldo says while coming closer.
“What do you want, Aldo? You called me crazy!” Colette says while backing up.
“I know dear, I’m sorry. I want to tell you, I still love you.” Says Aldo with tears rolling down his face.
Colette knows he’s lying to her. “You're lying. I do not trust you anymore.”
“Please Colette. I need you in my life.” Says Aldo.
“I told you no. You made my life miserable, I don’t want to be with you anymore.” Colette says
Colette walked away from Aldo.
“You will never find someone better than me. You know that Colette?” Said Aldo
“I will find someone better than you.” Colette says
Colette went back to her mother’s house, her mom said she can find someone better. Then Anre came back. He apologized and said that he loves her. They got married, and bought their own house. That proves her mom was right. She could find someone better, and she did.
Her Dad, Benedict, always said that her Mom, Mary, died when she was giving birth to Eve, but everytime she asks about her he gets weirdly strange. He would always get nervous and start to sweat.
She was named after her mom’s sister, Eve. She mostly looks like her Dad, brunette with brown eyes. They have a black cat that lives in the little gray and white cottage with them but they’re almost never home since they're at the church everyday. Her Dad is the clergyman while she's the assistant clergy. Eve doesn’t know why they spend so much time at the church, especially her Dad.
She isn’t allowed upstairs at the church, she never was, but since last month she’s heard noises coming from up there while working. Everytime the noises would happen her Dad would go up there and would always come down acting weird. Day after day she would wonder what could be up there and if Benedict has been hiding something from her. She would ask him what it was but he always replied with the same thing, “Nothing.”, “A box fell.”, or “Something fell.”, but he always said it with an unsettling accent.
One time while she was cleaning she heard a big bang from up there, the noises were always soft, never this loud. Her Dad was still at the cottage so Eve decided to check it out for herself. She opened the door and found another door with two locks on it. Eve looks for the two keys rapidly since Benedict would be arriving at the church soon. She finds one key in a book and another hidden in a plant. As she’s opening the door she's scared. “What could be behind this door?” she finds herself questioning.
She opens the door only to find a woman who strangely looks like her but with blonde hair instead of being a brunette.
Behind her was Benedict. Eve was confused and started to question him. “Dad.. Who is this?” Eve said.
“Well… I lied to you. Your Mom never died, in fact this is your Mom...” said Benedict with a shaky voice.
“What?” Eve yelled.
“Why would you lie to me? And why keep my Mom up here from me?” Eve questioned him with tears running down her face.
Eve looked at her Mom, she hasn’t said a word, she’s just sitting there in the corner with tears filling her eyes. Benedict didn’t want to explain, but he did trust Eve to not say anything.
Mary, Benedict, Eve and their cat all stayed at the small cottage. Mary couldn’t go out anywhere so Eve had to do her errands, going up to the market, fetching water, and a few other things.
One day while Mary was telling her what to get she told her to get this plant, Eve didn't know what the plant was at the time, it ended up being a plant that makes you fall asleep.
Mary slipped some into Benedict’s food while he wasn’t looking, and sooner than later he was out and they were able to take him up to the castle.
They arrive and are questioned why they're there. “What brings you here so late?” said one of the knights at the door.
“This is my Dad, Benedict, and this is my Mom, Mary. I thought my Mom died because of what my Dad has always said but she’s been alive the entire time in the attic of the church.” Eve said, hoping he would understand.
The knight then asked them more questions about the situation and Eve would still reply with hope.
They got the approval from him to take him into the castle to get him killed. Benedict was no longer a problem to them. Mary felt relieved, she was finally free. On the other hand Eve was turned around trying to hold in her tears. Eve was just happy that her dad’s mystery was gone.
As they are returning home they get asked quite a bit of questions but they just ignored most of them. Mary made her favorite meal for her and Eve, boiled fish and ale. After that they talked about what would happen now, “So what now?” asked Eve.
“I’m not sure at the moment but we do need to run some errands tomorrow and gather stuff for more dinners and things for the house.” said Mary.
The next day they went out to the village to run their errands but they kept getting asked, “Who is that?”, “What happened?”, and many more to add.
Eve and Mary couldn’t maintain so many of the questions so they ended up moving to where her Mom grew up at, “Farewell Village”, for a fresh start since it was the new year, 1300.
It's a bright sunny day in axe borough, were Zelda and his family(wife and twins)
Fish for dinner everyones laughing cause Zelda while trying to take the fish off the hook the fish squiggles and *SMACK* Zeldas is smacked in the face by the fish. His wife is laughing her face off and his twins just born months ago start laughing with their mother. Eventually Zelda decides that there's enough fish for dinner and they pack up and leave.
Zelda finally gets home after much walking and looks into the distance to see knights on horses riding through the village. He doesn't think too much of it; he figured it was another king's escort through the town so he can boost his ego again seeing all the other peasants praise him. As he got closer to his house he realized that the knights seemed to be going to his cottage by the time he got over the last little hill he saw them waiting there. Zelda walks up to the knights and asks them”Hey what are you guys doing here”
(Knight 1) “the lord godfrey needs you”
Zelda replies, “Lord Godfrey needs me, For what?”
(Knight 2) “and were taking ur family too”
Zelda:”No,you can take me but not my wife or kids” (Knight 2)”it seems we have no choice sir”
Zelda tries fighting them away until….. *BOOM* Zelda gets knocked out by the 1st Knight. His kids cry out after watching their dad get hit. Colette
(Zelda's wife) Screams in horror while being tied up by the knights and separated from her kids.
Zelda wakes up in the castle dungeon he was not feeling very supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
Instead he felt dead inside, sad, mad, and grief. Eventually knights take him out and escort him to the king as he walks through the castle he sees red carpets, gold railing, and glass chandeliers.
Eventually he gets to the kings door there's two knights keeping guard on both sides of the door the knight that guided zelda knocks on the door*KNOCK KNOCK* the king yells”COME IN” the knight has zelda walk in. Zelda walks in and sits down (Lord Godfrey)”well i'd think you might be wondering why ur here” (Zelda)”Yeah i am why am i here, wheres my family”.
The king takes a sword and throws it on the table separating them *BANG*
(King)”THERE'S A CRACK IN IT”
(Zelda)”Im very sorry lord godfrey shall i rebuild it”
(King)”YES AND AS A RESULT OF THIS UR FAMILY IS BEING SOLD. YOU WILL WORK FOR FREE UNTIL I HAVE A PERFECT SWORD. YOU HAVE ONE JOB DON'T MESS IT UP”.
(Zelda)”No, sire please give me another chance dont sell them. I just won't ever be able to get over it’’.
(King)”No youve messed up one too many times and now you will be punished.”
The king brings the knights in to drag him back to his dungeon where there is now smithing supplies and a single piece of bread and the smallest glass of ale Zeldas ever seen.
Zelda works day and night at this sword perfecting it. As he does he overhears guards talking about his family possibly thinking that his family has not been sold but kept captive.
Zelda now works as fast as he can on the sword until it's done plotting for revenge when he gets out but not punishing the king is his number one priority. Zelda just wants his family back.
Once he gets his family then he can focus on the king.
After 4 long days zelda is out and now free but hes not happy instead grieving and seeking revenge. All the village people come to his cottage asking where his family is and why he's been gone. After telling them about what happened and what the king did he turned most if not all the peasants against the king. Zelda happened to have lots of spare swords that he made for fun and knew quite a bit about fighting so with a good amount of convincing Zelda had made an army.
Zelda has been training his army to fight for about a month now and has made makeshift armor for most of them. It's obviously not as good as the knight's armor but it would work well enough.
Zelda had started making friends that are allowed in the castle and found it weakest attack points.
After planning, training and preparing, they were ready to attack.
Zelda and his army are suiting up in the middle of the night. Zelda's inside men had been waiting for the signal to start attacking from the inside as Zelda's army attacked from the outside.
Zelda's army equipped with bows,Swords, and shields were sneaking to the castle to fight the king and his men. Although the peasants outnumbered the knights they still had better equipment and training. Finally Zelda and his army stand in front of the moat that surrounded the castle Zelda gave the insiders a signal which was a horn that he had made from hand.
The knights are rushing out of the castle from the front but they weren't expecting a backside attack. So while half their men stood fighting at the front of the castle the king's men were flanked in and trapped fighting on both sides. After getting closed in on and fighting for hours the peasants came out on top and now it was time to search the castle for the king and imprison him.
While zelda and his men were looking for the king they found a secret door and hiding inside was zelda's family locked up. They were in horrible condition but it wasn't just his family, it was multiple other twins who had been captured that the king said he “killed”or “sold”.
After getting them to safety their hunt for the king continues. Eventually they get one of the king's personal guards to tell them exactly where he is. ”He's over there behind that book shelf there's a door.” the king's guard said timidly zelda has his group move the book shelf and low and behold a secret door. Zelda bust opened the door the king instantly screamed in fear with help zelda ties up the king and takes him captive.
The town has a vote on what should happen to the king and majority rule said public execution. Zelda is reunited with his family and has taken over as king.
