The fist four courses (12 hours) of the minor consist of two required HDF course and two courses selected by the student from a list of electives. Elective courses are available in HDF, COMM, PACS, PH, PSYC, RPTM, and SOC. Your academic advisor will be able to provide a full list of approved electives. Students live in Florence, Italy for a month during the summer while taking two HDF courses as part of the Kent State Florence Summer Institute. These courses meet Monday through Thursday for four weeks.

Note that by by applying for available scholarships (some only open to regional campus students) the cost can be reduced dramatically.
