This is a collaborative site contributed by students enrolled in ETEC 6/77426 Managing School Technologies. This site contains five main sections/web pages: Hardware, software, networking, administration, and funding. Each section has multiple subpages/topics.
Requirements: Each student is required to contribute content to at least three (3) topics on the class collaborative Google Site and comment on at least three (3) contributions made by your fellow students. This assignment is due at the end of the semester.
A contribution may take one of the following forms:
a long paragraph (at least 600 words) with best practices and/or malleable factors to consider about the specific topic explored. You can refer to what schools/school districts are doing all around the country.
a rubric with comparisons between different alternatives (e.g., different operating systems).
a research-based paragraph (at least 400 words) in which you present empirical evidence regarding the topic (for instance, a study promoting a specific software or technology management procedures). You can use Google Scholar and/or KSU Libraries search engine for finding good resources.
How to edit this site
On top of the website, you will see the 5 main sections and each of its subpages that have been set up for you. You can access these sections and subpages from the “Pages” on the top right. Click the page you want to edit.
To add content, click “Insert” and then choose the tool you want to use.
Once you are done with editing, click “Publish” to update this site and make your content available to others.
