Chloe graduated in Fall 2024 with a PhD in Neuroscience. Her dissertation title was "SENSORIMOTOR CONTROL OF INFANT FEEDING WITH PERIPHERAL CAPSAICIN EXPOSURE" under the mentorship of Dr. Rebecca German. Chloe is continuing her work as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Rebecca German at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
James graduated in Fall 2024 with a Master's in Neurosciences. His thesis title was “SEROTONIN AND SOUND: DEVELOPMENTAL AND STRESS-INDUCED EFFECTS ON 5-HT3R INTERNEURONS WITHIN AUDITORY CORTEX” under the mentorship of Dr. Merri Rosen. James is currently continuing his education as a medical student at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
Tej graduated in Fall 2024 with a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. His dissertation title was "D-CYSTEINE ETHYL ESTER NOT NALOXONE REVERSES FENTANYL MEDIATED INHIBITION OF INTRINISIC CALCIUM ACTIVITY IN CELLS ISOLATED FROM SUPERIOR CERVICAL GANGLION" under the mentorship of the late Dr. Derek Damron and co-advisor Dr. Colleen Novak. Tej is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Phoebe Lin at Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute.
Alhussain graduated in Fall 2024 with a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. His dissertation title was "HARNESSING THE SYNERGY OF COPPER NANOPARTICLES AND ASCORIC ACID FOR WOUND HEALING" under the mentorship of Dr. Min-Ho Kim. Alhussain has accepted a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Fayez Safadi at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
Kerianne graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Human Evolutionary Biology. Her dissertation title was "ASPECTS OF THE NEUROCHEMICAL PROFILE AND CANINE SEXUAL DIMORPHISM WITH REGARD TO HUMAN ORIGINS" under the mentorship of Dr. C. Owen Lovejoy. Kerianne is currently Program Manager for Osteological Repatriation and Review at Darmouth.
Bevelyn graduated in Summer 2025 with a Master's in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Her thesis title was "VISUALIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF CORONARY VASCULATURE BY 3D IMAGING" under the mentorship of Drs. Liya Yin and Feng Dong. Bevelyn is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Thywill graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Neurosciences. Her dissertation title was "INVESTIGATING TREATMENTS FOR SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION AFTER SPINAL CORD INJURY USING RAT PRE-CLINICAL METHODS" under the mentorship of Dr. Lique Coolen. Thywill is currently a visting professor at Chamberlain University.
Pratyusha graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Pharmacology. Her dissertation title was "IDENTIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT OF THE ROLE OF LUNG CANCER EXOSOMAL GALECTIN-3 BINDING PROTEIN IN BONE METASTASIS" under the mentorship of Dr. Moses Oyewumi. Pratyusha is currently a post-doc with Dr. Ramesh Ganju at The Ohio State University.
Shreya graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Pharmacology. Her dissertation title was "ROLE OF TSP1 IN REGULATION OF VASCULAR SMOOTH MUSCLE CELL PHENOTYPE AND ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN METABOLIC SYNDROME" under the mentorship of Dr. Priya Raman. Shreya is currently a post-doc at Stanford School of Medicine.
Mustfa graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Physiology Interdisciplinary. His dissertation title was "ISOFORM-SPECIFIC ROLE OF PP1y2 IN SPERM FUNCTION AND MALE FERTILITY KINASE IN MAMMALS, A POTENTIAL NON HORMONAL CONTRACEPTIVE TARGETING EPIDIDYMAL SPERM" under the mentorship of Dr. Srinivasan Vijayaraghavan.
Dipan graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Pharmacology. His dissertation title was "THE THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF NAMPT-OVEREXPRESSED MSC-DERIVED EXOSOMES IN AORTIC STENOSIS: A STUDY IN ENDOTHELIAL CELL-SPECIFIC CXCR4 KNOCKOUT MICE" under the mentorship of Dr. Feng Dong. Dipan is currently a post-doc with Dr. Dong at NEOMED.

Her dissertation title was "POPULATION AND COMPARATIVE GENOMICS STUDIES OF HIMALAYAN PIKAS: UNRAVELING ADAPTATIONS AND GENETIC DIVERSITY IN EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS" under the mentorship of Dr. Sangeet Lamichhaney. Melia is a Clinical Variant Scientist for ARUP Laboratories.
Nicole graduated in Summer 2025 with a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Her dissertation title was "PRIMATE ASSESSMENT OF RISK DURING ARBOREAL LOCOMOTION" under the mentorship of Dr. Jesse Young. Nicole is a post-doc in Dr. Rebecca German's lab at NEOMED.
Heather graduated in Spring 2025 with a PhD in Human Evolutionary Biology. Her dissertation title was "PROFILES AND PROJECTION PATTERNS: SUBCORTICAL NEUROMODULATION IN HUMAN EVOLUTION" under the mentorship of Dr. Mary Ann Raghanti. Heather is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Brett Schofield's lab at NEOMED. She is studying acetylcholine and vasoactive intestinal peptide modulation in the auditory system.
