Enrollment in extracurricular activities is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No exceptions will be made for classes that have reached capacity.
Once the registration form is submitted, the after-school staff will notify you whether your child has been successfully enrolled or placed on a waiting list.
To ensure the quality of our program and fairness to all families, Kennedy International School has established the following cancellation and refund guidelines:
Cancellation by the School
Kennedy International School reserves the right to cancel any activity or program due to low enrollment. In such cases, parents will be offered one of the following options:
Enrollment in an alternative activity
A credit applicable toward future activities or camp
A full refund
If an activity is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., instructor absence), parents will:
Be notified as soon as possible via email or phone
Be offered a make-up session, if possible
If a make-up session cannot be arranged, receive a credit or refund for the canceled day(s)
Changes and Cancellations by Parent/Guardian
Changes to registration
During the first week of the semester, parents may request to change their child(ren)’s enrollment to a different activity. If the new activity has a higher cost, the difference in price will be charged.
Cancellation notice requirement
Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email no later than the end of the program’s first week.
Refunds
Before the semester begins: Parents who cancel their registration before the start of the semester will receive a full refund.
During the first or second week: Parents who cancel during the first or second week of the semester will be charged only for the classes that took place (one or two, accordingly). The remaining balance will be refunded or credited.
After the second week: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the second week of the semester.
Missed days: Missed classes due to illness, travel, or other personal reasons are not eligible for a refund or credit.
Emergency Closures
In the event of weather-related or other emergencies, all extracurricular activities, homework help, and after-care services will be canceled. These days are not refundable; however, make-up sessions may be offered when feasible.
Behavior-Related Dismissals
If a student is withdrawn from the program due to persistent behavioral concerns—following prior warnings and communication with parents—no refund will be issued for the remainder of the semester.
Lateness Policy
Timely pickup is essential to ensure the smooth operation of our after-school program and the safety of all students and staff.
Parents must pick up their child(ren) at the end of their scheduled activity, homework help, or aftercare.
We understand that unexpected delays can happen. If you anticipate being late, please contact the Student Life Coordinator as soon as possible.
A 5-minute grace period may be allowed; however, repeated or extended lateness will result in the following fees:
5 to 10 minutes late — $10
11 to 20 minutes late — $20
21 to 30 minutes late — $30
Over 30 minutes late — $50 plus potential removal from the program
After three (3) late pickups, a meeting may be scheduled with the Student Life Coordinator to discuss the student’s continued participation. In cases of extreme or repeated lateness, the student may be removed from the after-school program.
