You should have received an invitation to your Zoom virtual meeting in your school email inbox. If you did not receive an invitation, please email your teacher.
Open the Zoom app on your iPad. The app should be on your iPad. If not, please reach out to tech support
The Zoom app looks like a blue facetime icon and should have been pushed onto your iPad.
3. When you meeting time begins, click Join on the Zoom app.
4. You will be prompted to enter a meeting ID- the ID number is on the invitation sent to you.
5. Please sign in with your full name.
6. Your audio will be muted as you join the virtual meeting.
7. Your teacher will unmute your audio as members join.
You will only be allowed to chat with your teacher. Please use the chat function to ask questions! It’s very easy for your teacher to see your questions when they are written down.
Please be respectful of the meeting environment. Choose a quiet spot away from distractions. Do not have your phone out, TV on, or be eating during the meeting.
Be prepared for the meeting with materials out. It is most helpful if you have attempted or completed the work for the day, so your teacher can help you best.
Be respectful of other members in the meeting. Do not speak over classmates or your teacher. Wait your turn to ask a question, or better yet, use the chat function!
Be responsible about the time of the meeting. The teacher has set up meetings back to back to provide smaller environments with the classes as they are arranged during the regular school day. Your teacher will likely have to end the meeting on time to start another. If you still have questions after the meeting, please email them.
Be kind in your words and actions during the meeting. Remote learning cannot be the same as the classroom, but model your behavior after the best type of student you would be if we were all at Sears together.
Have fun! We are looking forward to spending some time with you during remote learning. Please join us!
If you cannot make the meeting time, do not fret. You can always email your teacher with any questions you have.
*Please be patient as we work out any troubleshooting issues we have with the virtual meeting. If you have suggestions on how to make the meetings better, we would love to hear them!*
