Kelsey Community School

What an exciting time at our school!

We were lucky enough to receive eggs to hatch, and over the past few weeks, our students and staff have been eagerly watching and learning every step of the way. We’re thrilled to share that they have finally hatched and we now have six adorable chicks!

Meet: Huey, Dewey, Louie, Darth, Princess Leia, and Luke (of course born on May 4th ).These little guys have truly been the highlight of everyone’s day. From checking on them first thing in the morning to watching them grow and explore, they’ve brought so much joy, curiosity, and excitement into our school.

A huge thank you to Chris and Darryl Langlois for their generous donation and for sharing their knowledge with us. This has been such a meaningful and memorable experience for our students and staff!

Our Mural is Complete

We are so excited to share that our beautiful school mural is officially finished at Kelsey Community School!

It has been an incredible experience welcoming Annie Bergen, our Artist in the School. Annie is a Manitoba-based mural artist and arts educator who travels across the province, helping students design and create meaningful murals together. Her passion for collaboration, creativity, and making art accessible truly shone throughout this project.

Our students in Grades 1–5 had the opportunity to contribute to this special piece, and their ideas, creativity, and teamwork are reflected in every part of the mural. This artwork is more than just a painting, it’s a lasting symbol of our school community, creativity, and pride.

A huge thank you to Annie for sharing her talent and guiding our students through this unforgettable experience. We are so proud of what was created together!
