Learning/Activity Topics: We will be wrapping up Unit One this week! Students will work in class on a synthesis visual to represent the connections they have made in the various texts we have read in this unit. We are beginning Unit Two, which will be a reading unit. Students will be assigned a book based on their picks from the book tasting, and we will start book clubs.
Spelling Bee Information: Does your child love to S-P-E-L-L? Do they love to compete? This year's Spelling Bee is right around the corner! If your child would like to try out for the bee, please fill out the attached Spelling Bee Permission Slip. On Thursday, October 2, they will use their permission slip as a pass to come to the cafeteria at 9:30am to take a 25-word spelling test. Students MUST have a permission slip in order to participate. The top 15 scorers will advance to our campus spelling bee on Tuesday, December 2. Please reach out to Angela Wilson (angela.wilson@kellerisd.net) with any questions!

Hi, I'm Ms. Gage! I'm so excited to be co-teaching with Mrs. Gomez this year as the Special Education teacher. I have a deep love for reading and writing, and I can’t wait to share that passion with our students. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching each child grow—academically, socially, and emotionally—throughout the school year. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year full of learning, discovery, and meaningful connections with our amazing students!
