Join Student Council

Student Council provides opportunities to make friends, develop leadership skills, be involved in Keller High School and support Keller High School and our community. We hope that you will consider joining.

Step 1

Review the Membership Guidelines below. If you meet the guidelines then please continue to step 2.

Complete the Membership Form below. 

Step 3

Submit $60 membership dues to the Keller ISD Web Store - https://tx-keller.intouchreceipting.com/ 

Membership dues are pay for your state and national dues, t-shirt, and all Student Council events for the year, campus and community projects, and recognition such as graduation cords.

Step 4

Then join the GroupMe to receive information about upcoming events. We will be transitioning to another communication platform in the fall but if you want to know about workdays before school starts and the first meeting please sign up for the GroupMe. 

All members are accepted as long as they meet the Membership Guidelines below. 

MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

Section 1. Qualifications for general membership

a) Members must have a current average of 70 in all classes with no citizenship grade lower than S.

b) Members must maintain an average of 70 or above and must be passing all classes at all UIL grade checkpoints.

c) Members must attend the minimum number of required events.

d) Members must abide by the Keller Independent School District Code of Conduct at all times.

Section 2. General membership selections

a) The advisor(s) and the Student Body Officers will determine acceptance and number of members-at-large.

b) Prospective members must complete the application for membership and pay dues.

Section 3. Membership removal

a) Members and officers will be placed on probation when they do not fulfill the following leadership responsibilities:

     i) Failure to maintain eligibility due to grades and/or citizenship.

     ii) Failure to maintain “good standing” within the context of assigned events and duties.

     iii) Citizenship falls below S in any class.

     iv) A lack of demonstration of leadership skills as determined by the advisor(s)

b) Members and officers will be immediately removed if

     i) They do not meet the terms of their probation

     ii) They are subject to disciplinary action taken by the school administration such as ISS, CPC, SRC, or suspension.

     iii) They are subject to disciplinary action taken by law enforcement agency.

     iv) They are guilty of Academic Dishonesty.

c) Members and officers will be immediately removed if they commit any behavior in conflict with the KISD Code of Conduct, but may request a probationary period in lieu of removal, subject to the discretion of the Advisor.
