Mr. Flores brings nearly 30 years of experience in choral music education. A graduate of TCU, he spent 17 years in Birdville ISD serving as both a head and assistant choir director. Over the past decade, he has continued his work in music through church leadership, directing choirs of all ages, and building a private voice studio right here at Indian Springs Middle School.

Mr. Flores and his wife are proud parents of two daughters—Elizabeth, a Keller High School graduate now attending New Mexico State University, and Gabby, a current student at Keller High School.

Emma Garcia is a first year teacher who earned her Bachelor of Music in both Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas. While studying at UNT, Ms. Garcia was able to perform in four operas held on campus, study opera abroad in Italy, and compete in Germany with the UNT A Capella Choir to win an international competition. She continues to foster her love of choral music by performing with the Highland Park Chorale year round and Duke’s Chorworks program each summer. 

After graduating in December, Ms. Garcia taught at Keller High School as long-term substitute for Assistant Choir Director where she taught the non-varsity choirs. From a young age, Ms. Garcia was always very passionate about music and knew early on that choir would always be a central part of her life. She wants to bring that same passion and love of music to her students. Ms. Garcia is so thrilled to join the Indian Springs Middle School team!
