Before becoming a full time art teacher I worked as a graphic designer. I still enjoy graphic design, painting, illustration, and am working on developing my pottery skills.

I love being an art teacher because I get to spend each day helping young people hone their creative skills. I love encouraging students to think outside the box, and not to be afraid of making mistakes on their path to becoming fearless problem solvers.

Over the summer I was given an amazing opportunity to travel around Costa Rica and visit different artisans to see how they make their crafts! We met woodworkers, potters, and painters, and we even dabbled in a little cave painting!
