This Fall, the 5th grade will be presenting, "A Peter Pan Adventure"!

All 5th grade students will participate in this program and rehearse during music class, but students also have the opportunity to audition for a principal role, if they so desire.

The principal roles include both small and large speaking roles. There will be no singing involved in the audition.

There is no cost to participate.

AUDITIONS

Auditions are OPTIONAL and are only intended for 5th grade students who wish to try out for a speaking role in the program. Auditioning students MUST be available almost every Wednesday afternoon, leading up to the performance (Dec. 19th), from 3:15-4:15 p.m. to rehearse their principal role.

5th grade students who do not audition, or audition but do not receive a principal role, are still required to participate in the program and will rehearse during their music class.

Audition Information-

When: Tuesday, October 8th from 3:15-4:15 p.m.

Where: Theatre Classroom

What you need to prepare:

1. Students should familiarize themselves with the "audition lines". They will be asked to speak some of these lines, in character, at auditions. Lines do not need to be memorized. (See below.)

2. Please complete the following Audition Form for your child. They will not be able to audition unless their form is completed. (See below.)

If your child is a car rider, please pick up them up at the front of the school. Aubrac and Canchim walkers/bike riders will dismiss accordingly. Clayton Daycare kids will head there after auditions.

Rehearsal Expectations

Students are expected to attend rehearsals on Wednesday mornings, leading up to the performance.

Rehearsals: Oct. 23rd & 30th, Nov. 6th, 13th & 20th, Dec. 4th & 11th

Performance: Thursday Dec. 19th at 2:15pm (for school) & 6pm (for friends/family)

Rehearsals will be used to work on staging the show and strengthening our acting. It is the student's responsibility to have their lines memorize and they will need to devote daily time to work on memorization.
