4th Grade "BONES"
This Fall, the 4th grade will be presenting the Toe-Tapping, Foot-Stomping, Knee-Slapping, Hip-Swinging, Hand-Clapping, Finger-Snapping, Spine-Tingling musical program, "BONES"!
All 4th grade students will participate in this program and rehearse during music class, but students also have the opportunity to audition for a principal role, if they so desire.
The principal roles include some small and large speaking roles, and a couple of vocal soloist roles.

There is no cost to participate.
AUDITIONS
Auditions are OPTIONAL and are only intended for 4th grade students who wish to try out for a speaking or soloist role in the program. Auditioning students MUST be available every Wednesday morning, leading up to the performance (Oct. 3rd), from 7:25-7:55 a.m. to rehearse their principal role.
4th grade students who do not audition, or audition but do not receive a principal role, are still required to participate in the program and will rehearse during their music class.

When: Wednesday, August 28th from 7:25-7:55 a.m.
Where: Theatre Classroom
What you need to prepare:
Students should learn the excerpts from "Shake, Rattle them Bones" and "I'm a Broken Bone," if they wish to audition for a singing solo. (See below.)
Students should familiarize themselves with the "audition lines". They will be asked to speak some of these lines, in character, at auditions. Lines do not need to be memorized. (See below.)
Please complete the following Audition Form for your child. They will not be able to audition unless their form is completed. (See below.)

Rehearsal expectations
Students are expected to attend rehearsals on Wednesday mornings, leading up to the performance.
Rehearsals: September 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th, Oct. 2nd
Performance: Thursday Oct. 3rd at 2:15pm (for school) & 6pm (for friends/family)
Rehearsals will be used to work on staging the show and strengthening our acting. It is the student's responsibility to have their lines memorized and they will need to devote daily time to work on memorization.
