Masaki Inoue was born in Aichi, Japan, in 1986. He received the Ph.D. degree in Mechani Engineering from Osaka University in 2012. He served as a Research Fellow of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, He was a Project Researcher of FIRST, Aihara Innovative Mathematical Modelling Project, and also a Doctoral Researcher of the Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology. Currently, he is a Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Physics and Physico-Informatics, Keio University. His research interests include control theory for human-in-the-loop systems. He received several research awards including the Pioneer Award from SICE Control Division, the Takeda Best Paper Award from SICE in 2018, and the Best Paper Awards from SICE in 2013, 2015, and 2018, from ISCIE in 2014, and from IEEJ in 2017. He is a member of IEEE, SICE, and ISCIE.
