A note on the microphone recordings in this section:

All recordings were made in the same recording space - the Tim Souster Studio, Keele University. All mics were placed approx. 50cm from the sound source - a Yamaha Disklavier. Efforts were made to ensure that input gains were matched in the DAW. All files were normalised to -2dB before export. This was the only process applied.
