Ruwaidiah Idris belongs to University Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia. Throughout 12 years of her career path after PhD, she continues to accomplish success in teaching and inspiring several postgraduate students. Her research passions in applied mathematics, especially in the convective heat transfer field, and her specialities in instability of Rayleigh-Benard convection and chaotic convection can be applied in oceanography, one of the UMT niche’s areas. This makes her an excellent asset to the faculty (FSKM) and UMT. She also continues to deliver promising research findings through the research grant led by her or as a coresearcher from others. She has also actively contributed to the visibility of UMT through knowledge transfer among the community, especially schools near the universities. She has contributed the main ideas of summer school programs in her faculty, namely Digitalized Heritage and Culture, which has been running since 2018. Ruwaidiah has 25 indexed publications cited over 401 times, with a current H-index of 10.

Ms Roxanne Francis is a mathematician with over 5 years’ experience as an educator and researcher of this academic discipline. She currently lectures in The Department of Mathematics at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. Her specialisation includes Differential Equations, Fluid Dynamics and Numerical Methods, in which her studies involve linear and non-linear stability analyses of thermoconvective flows, under the influence of different external modulation of fluid parameters. Her most recent pursuit involves the study on weakly non-linear stability analysis on gravity-modulated Rayleigh-Bénard convection in a Newtonian liquid, bounded by rigid-free boundaries, where emphasis is placed on characterising the post convective flow using bifurcation plots and Lyapunov exponents. In addition to her academic qualities, Ms Francis has consistently displayed an aptitude for philanthropy especially as it relates to youth development.
