I am incredibly thankful to be a teacher! It is an amazing adventure, and my goal each year is to inspire my students to work hard at improving themselves, their school community, and the world outside their rural New England town.
In 2016, I was awarded the Christa McAuliffe Sabbatical by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. In 2018, I was awarded an Ocean Stewardship Award from the New England Aquarium. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I am also a blogger for Kids Discover, an educational platform offering print and digital resources for young learners.
I am a father to eight wonderful and rambunctious children - my oldest son is now married! My wife Amy, who never ceases to amaze me, is a stay-at-home mom and piano teacher. Since our household is so quiet and boring (please note the sarcasm), we also have our fox red lab Rohan, and yellow lab Pippin to keep us entertained! Classroom pets, though? Absolutely! Frodo and Samwise are amazing turtles, and they love to eat, swim, and bask!
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my kids, writing poetry, fiddling with photography, playing basketball or football, biking, hiking, and enjoying the vacation world we live in here in New Hampshire.
