The students will be working on designing and constructing set pieces for the Fall Musical. This year, we are producing: Damn Yankees.
Show Synopsis:
Joe Boyd, an aging Washington Senators fan, would sell his soul for the Senators to beat the New York Yankees and win the pennant. Enter Applegate (Ray Walston), who offers to turn Boyd into Joe Hardy (Tab Hunter), a powerful young baseball player, in exchange for his soul.
Other course objectives:
To learn about the various jobs and employability after high school in Technical Theatre
To examine the following technical aspects of theatre: Lighting, Sound, Costumes, Hair/ Make-up
To watch performances and evaluate them for technical aspects.
To reflect on various challenges within the design and build process for a live production
