Nature's Classroom

Nature’s Classroom (NC) is an environmental education institute that has been recognized for excellence by the National Science Teachers Association, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Connecticut. The program began in the Northeast in 1973 and now has 15 sites in the New England/New York region. Kearsarge Regional Middle School uses the Silver Bay, NY location.

Nature’s Classroom is a residential program that engages students and teachers in academic areas such as mathematics, physical and social sciences, and the humanities. The experience is geared toward middle school students, as 90% of the participants region-wide are in grades five through eight.
