The purpose of a remote learning day is to allow students to continue their learning experience remotely during times of inclement weather, etc. These days will count as "traditional" school days. You will receive a phone call from our rapid notification system letting you know that we will not have school the following day and that we are going to have a remote learning day. Please remember that it is a school day away from school--maybe at home, at daycare, or at a friend’s house. Students will come home with all the materials they will need on these days. They will need to log onto the Google Meet on our Google Classroom Home Page.
Our schedule on a typical Remote Learning Day will look something like this:
8:30-Morning Meeting-This time will be used to check in, do a morning share and go over the assignments for the day.
9:00-Independent Work-I will keep our google meet open during this time and will be available to answer questions about assignments. Students should complete math, literacy, social studies or science and their Unified Arts assignments for the day. All work and materials for these assignments will be in Google Classroom or in their home folders.
9:45-Online Social Snack-This is optional for students.
10:00-12:00-I will continue to be available by google meet as students complete their assignments.
12:00-3:00-Lunch and Teacher Office Hours-I will be available through email during this time.
Students may complete other online activities as assigned and work with specialists for intervention
