In accordance with HB103 I will notify parents and guardians at least 2 weeks prior to any sexual health unit. In an effort that goes above and beyond state standards I send home Puberty and Sexual Health Permission Slips more than two weeks before we begin our unit rather than just notifying parents via email or through this site. I will record that I have received permissions slips as an ungraded assignment in PowerSchool and then I will then email guardians of students who have not returned their permission slips as my final form of notification. A more detailed outline of the sexual health curriculum can be found on each grade-specific page of this website.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you have any concerns pertaining to the curriculum and would like your child to be removed from class during this time to do alternative work.
