¡Hola! My name is Elisabeth Mellon and I will be teaching Spanish I and Spanish II this year. I am new to the Kearsarge School District, but this is my tenth year of teaching Spanish to high schoolers and middle schoolers. I am excited to share my enthusiasm for the Spanish language and culture with my students, and to help them on their journey to Spanish proficiency.
Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Spanish -- Pepperdine University
Master's Degree in Teaching English -- State University of New York at Albany
Postgraduate certification in Teaching Spanish -- University of Maine Orono
Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns via email: emellon@kearsarge.org
I will post assignments for students on Google Classroom.
I love to travel with my two college-aged daughters. This past summer we visited the Maritime provinces in Canada.
I have travelled throughout Spain and also spent time volunteering and traveling in Mexico.
I also enjoy reading classic literature, running, hiking, and scrapbooking in my free time.
I have one cat named Rosamond (Rosie for short). She is named after one of my favorite authors (Rosamunde Pilcher) and a character in my favorite book, Middlemarch by George Eliot.
