Harvard Model United Nations

Each year, Harvard Model United Nations attracts over 3,000 high school students from around the world to downtown Boston for four days of exciting debate. HMUN gives students the chance to learn about international relations and to personally experience the challenges diplomats face of representing one's own national interests and advocating in favor of a country's stance while taking into account the perspectives of other member states.

The Kearsarge Delegation:

As part of the Kearsarge Delegation at the 2020 HMUN you will be representing Pakistan. You will be assigned to different committees, most likely alone or with one other Kearsarge student, and be expected to prepare yourself to discuss world issues from the perspective of a delegate representing Pakistan. In order to partake in discussions at the HMUN conference, you are expected to be an active participant, you will need to do an extensive amount of research regarding our assigned delegation and your assigned committee. Each delegate must also prepare and submit a position paper to the advisors before the start of the conference. There will be several days after school or during x-Block when you will be expected to attend meetings and work with your fellow delegates in order to ready for the conference. As advisors we expect you to take this experience seriously. This is not a leisure trip to Boston. The more you prepare before the conference the more you will benefit from the entire experience.
