A Little Bit About Me
Family: My husband is John Carney. I have a 13 year old daughter named Lulu, you will hear a lot about her this year. She is a lot of fun! I also have a 7 1/2 year old golden retriever, Newman, and my daughter has a horse. We spend a lot of time together both riding horses and skiing.
My job title at Kearsarge is: 8th Grade Special Education Teacher. I will be co-teaching in some 8th grade language arts classes, and a math class. I will also be working with students in a daily student support during, WIN, and Flex classes.

I went to college at: St. Lawrence University- BA- 1996

Special training that I have is:
I have been actively co-teaching for over 18 years in language arts classes, as well as social studies and math. This involves co-planning, co-teaching and co-assessing students to better differentiate in the general education classroom. Not only does it benefit the students to have two teachers collectively teaching one subject, it is great fun! I also love to use technology in all of my classes.
Favorite physical activity: I love to walk, especially with my dog. I am an avid horseback rider and ride about 5 days a week. When ski season comes, you will find me on the slopes of Mt. Sunapee.
Favorite healthy food: I like to eat salads everyday for lunch during the school year.
Favorite guilty food: Double Stuff Oreos and/or Ice Cream!
