My name is Chef April Ross and I have been in the Culinary and Pastry Arts industry for over 30 years. I started my career at twelve years old as a dishwasher and worked my way up the ranks doing everything from prepping to cooking on the line. I went to Johnson & Wales University in Providence RI and earned an associates degree in both Culinary and Pastry Arts as well as a bachelors in food service management. While in my last months of college my soon to be husband and I bought a restaurant and bakery in Franklin NH. We opened one week after we graduated and enjoyed a successful (and stressful at times) business for almost seven years. We sold the business in order to spend more time with our two year old daughter and thus began my teaching career. I created and taught the baking & pastry program at Lakes Region Community College in Laconia for twelve years. The last three of those years I was also at Concord High School in their Culinary Arts program teaching as well as bringing real world experiences to the students. I came to Kearsarge high school Eight years ago and have loved every minute of it! I finished my Masters in Curriculum and Teaching in 2019 which was exciting. I am looking forward to an amazing year of sharing my passion for food with you!
