One Act Cast, Crew, Parents/Guardians: 

Happy First Week Everyone!  

This is our first week of One-Act Play Production for our 2023 season.  One-Act is a fast-paced, competitive season and we are excited it has begun!  Each week we will send out an email advising you of the updated plan for the week.  If you have any questions at any time, please reach out to Coach Bombeck and I will get back to you asap!    

I will be emailing you the complete calendars for October-December later this week.  I took a much-needed break this weekend and didn’t complete it quite yet!

REHEARSALS - Called: ALL Cast and Crew - in the CHaT every day this week

10/2 MONDAY 3:50-6PM  

10/3 TUESDAY 3:50-6PM 

10/4 WEDNESDAY 3:50-6PM 

10/5 THURSDAY 3:50-6PM

10/6 FRIDAY 3:50-6PM

SET CONSTRUCTION 

10/7 SATURDAY 9AM-4PM (Set Construction) CREW AND CAST ARE CALLED 

We will take an hour break for lunch off of campus - please either bring $ to go out to lunch OR bring lunch

Crew - will work on each crew’s needs 

Cast - will work on blocking/memorization 

Band members are excused

ACTIVITIES PASS 

This is required for participation in One-Act.  I will chat with those who don’t yet have theirs on Monday at the beginning of rehearsal.  If there is a financial hardship which does not allow you to pay this fee, please let me know!

PARENT/GUARDIAN HELP: 

We are asking for assistance from parents/guardians in a variety of ways: (please contact me if you want to know more prior to signing up to help) 

Team Meals 

• Point person/people - a person or group of people who are willing to make sure the SDMI is set up (chairs, tables, food) and meet in advance to set up the meal for the team.  We had a parent or two do this last year and it was AWESOME.

Mel Shoemaker Invitational - November 18th - Helpers needed throughout the day

• This is the largest play production invitational KHS has had (16 total schools are performing) and we will need lots of help in a variety of areas.  Please check out the link to see how you can contribute to the success of our invite.

PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATIONAL MEETING 

Tuesday, September 12th 

H100 (Bombeck's Room) - 6:00pm-6:30pm

This is an informational meeting where we well talk about the following:

• Introduction of the coaches 

• Calendar for the season 

• Team meal nights and special events 

• Team expectations and dedication to the program 

• Communication (website, email, social media and Remind)

This meeting is for you whether you are a veteran parent and have had students in the program for all four years, or if you your student is a freshman.  We are making quite a few changes this year and need at least one (1) parent/guardian to attend.
