Where do I sit?

Every orchestra has a slightly different seating arrangement. Kean-NJIO uses the seating chart pictured here. We can always help point you in the right direction!

Tuning: Before each reheasal (and after each break) the ensemble will tune. It's helpful if your instrument is already warmed up and in tune before we begin the ensemble tuning. The concert master will stand up and communicate with the oboe player. The oboist will play three A's. The first A is for winds and brass. The second A is for violas and cellos. The third A is for violins.
