Research under Dr. Brian C. Baldwin
STEM Education Research consists of analyzing New Jersey PARCC data directly from the state, finding patterns and outliers in the data, coming up with research questions/hypothesis, and trying to find an answer. This research is important because it brings awareness to types or groups of schools and students that are doing extremely well or poor on standardized testing. This information can help find ways to improve student achievement.
Research Questions:
How do 3rd graders of difference races in each District Factor Group in New Jersey perform on PARCC testing?
How do English Language Leaners in different District Factor Groups perform on PARCC testing?
Is the Issue with low performing students that English is not their first language, or that they do not live in a wealthy community?
Is there a relationship between a districts high school math PARCC testing results and how long math teachers from specific districts have been teaching?
