BLS Provider Course
Basic Life Support (BLS) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. This course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.

HEARTSAVER CPR and AED
HEARTSAVER CPR and AED
The Heartsaver® CPR AED course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
Upon registration a Heartsaver CPR and AED Provider Manual will be provided to you.

BLS PROVIDER HEARTCODE
Blended learning combines self-paced online training with an Instructor-led classroom session. Students first learn the course content online using HeartCode BLS. After passing the included online exam, they attend an Instructor-led, video-based classroom portion focused on skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.
The cost of the structured Hands-On session is $50.00 and can be scheduled at the convenience of the student. Please contact Kathleen Curran: kcurran@kean.edu. Send the certificate you will receive when you complete the online portion. Session will be scheduled as quickly as possible.
